Our Expertise

CEC was founded by an expert with over 20 years of experience working with children and in the education sector – from practice-oriented pedagogy and strategic educational development to the eight-year implementation of kindergartens.

Her journey began in 2012 with work in the areas of mindfulness, movement, and personal development for children, particularly with alternative and holistic approaches.

For over a decade, she has been developing educational concepts and their implementation for institutions and advising governments, NGOs, and foundations on scalable early childhood systems in an international context.

Her focus: holistic education as the foundation for the development of human capabilities, aligned with national strategies such as Vision 2030, 2035, and 2040 in the Middle East.

Our Services - From Foundations to Impact

Foundation

We build educational foundations based on pedagogical values and cultural identity.

By integrating local traditions with globally recognized early childhood approaches, we foster a sense of belonging, purpose, and future-readiness in children.

Our work aligns to prepare the next generation to carry forward the national visions of the Middle East — with confidence, empathy, and a strong sense of identity.

Expertise

We develop child-centered curricula and educator training rooted in internationally recognized approaches. Our work emphasizes social cohesion, peacebuilding, and intercultural understanding—adapting pedagogical models such as Waldorf, Montessori, and Kurt Hahn to the unique cultural and religious contexts of each region.

We believe that early education is key to fostering inclusive societies and resilient communities.

Strategy

Our strategy is to align early childhood education initiatives closely with each country’s national vision for Human Capability Development. By strengthening early education, we aim to increase and smooth the transition into formal schooling, ultimately boosting enrollment rates and ensuring a stronger foundation for lifelong learning.

Insight into our work

ChildHorizon2030

Developing human capabilities from the ground up.

In a region seeking to diversify its economy and secure long-term prosperity, one element is all too often overlooked: the child.

ChildHorizon2030 is our response to this blind spot – a visionary framework for early childhood education grounded in neuroscience, pedagogy, and cultural sensitivity. It aligns with national strategies such as Vision 2030 (Saudi Arabia), Vision 2035 (Kuwait), and Vision 2040 (Oman), as well as all other visions related to human capacity development, and offers scalable pathways to universal access to kindergarten and improved school readiness.
ChildHorizon2030 isn't just about education – it's about preparing a generation that can carry on their country's ambitions and shape a stable, inclusive future.

ChildHorizon2030 is based on neurological insights from the first five years of life and offers an adaptable early learning model aligned with national visions in the Middle East.

A regional approach to developing human capabilities, based on insights from early childhood.

At its core, the concept draws on internationally respected pedagogical approaches — including holistic elements of Waldorf, Montessori, and Kurt Hahn — while integrating them with authentic cultural and religious values of the respective country.

It is a dialogue between heritage and progress, co-creating a curriculum that resonates with national identity while meeting international standards.

Why is this important?

Because sustainable development begins with cognitive development.

Because empowered women need supportive systems for work and care.

Because peace, productivity, and innovation thrive best in an emotionally secure childhood.

It supports countries in expanding access to kindergarten, improving school readiness, and developing future generations who can carry on and develop their country's vision.

ChildHorizon2030 isn't just about education—it's about raising a generation capable of carrying on their nation's ambitions and building a stable, inclusive future.

Rebuilding Syria through Early Childhood Education

Peace begins in the mind of a child.

AMAL is our response to the ravages of war – a holistic early childhood education initiative in Syria that promotes social cohesion, multi-faith inclusion, and trauma-informed learning. It connects Syrian educators in the diaspora with local communities to build hope, resilience, and educational bridges for a peaceful future.

A nation can rebuild its cities. But without its children, it cannot rebuild its soul.

AMAL (Arabic for hope) is our flagship humanitarian project for Syria – a multi-faith, inclusive early childhood education program that aims to restore not only physical infrastructure but also social cohesion and emotional resilience.

Grounded in trauma-informed pedagogy and powered by the Syrian diaspora, AMAL bridges exiled expertise with local needs. It offers holistic education built on trusted international methods (Waldorf, Montessori, Kurt Hahn), gently woven into Syrian tradition, language, and multifaith values.

It promotes trust, peace, and perspectives – in classrooms where children of all backgrounds learn to see a future beyond conflict.

This results in an educational space that heals, connects, and empowers — for children, parents, and communities alike.

This isn't charity. It's an investment.

In the women who are returning to work.

In the children who will lead tomorrow.

In the fragile peace that begins with belonging.

The AMAL concept - Small Hands - Big Hope - is currently being developed as a project for financial support at the German Federal Ministry, applied for by the Association of German-Syrian Peace Associations and other Syrian peace organizations.
